Pilicode

It was a Pulikkadu, means Tigers Forest. The Rayaramangalam temple is an ancient one where the Bhadra Kali is sitting facing north from which side she arrived here. This was a place known for its peace and harmony where the cows and tigers were sitting back to back. The Paduvalam was a battle field which was earlier known as Padakkalam.

The Agricultural farm was famous for producing the first TxD breed coconut variety. Later this has become the Research centre of Kerala Agricultural University.
